A Trip to the Snow

As two natives of cold climates, it's hard to believe that our kids don't know what snow is. After much talk, we took a last-minute trip up to Bear Valley to show the little ones how fun snow is.

The sledding was a big hit, but the cold weather elicited complaints. Hmm... I think we need to plan for an adjustment period when we move to Sweden.

The New Family Member

After a year-and-a-half hiatus, we decided it was time to try another fish. Marcus met our idea with lots of enthusiasm. His name is Pelle, and we were forced to cancel afternoon plans because, "Pelle is my friend. He will get lonely if we leave him. "

Here, Marcus is showing Pelle his legos and trying to teach him to say plant. He also plans to put him in a chair and feed him at dinner time and put cream on his butt when we change him. As you can see, Pelle has quickly risen to "family member" status.
